Disability services

 

 

The Sceaux university library is accessible to people with reduced mobility via a lift serving all floors.

The library offers you personalised services:

01- A contact person who you can telephone (01.40.91.19.10) or email: you will validate your library registration with this person. You may be asked to provide supporting documentation.

02- Personalised services:

  • There is a workroom with special equipment for students with a visual impairment. This is equipped with accessible (voice and low vision) IT equipment: desktop computer, 27-inch flat screen, large-character keyboard, Sennheiser headset, ZoomText magnification software with voice synthesis support, Access Voices pack for NVDA software, Ergotron articulated arm, Vocatex video magnifier, electronic magnifiers, lamp for people with a visual impairment, book scanner, OCR software, Braille display.
  • help to resolve problems accessing libraries or documents;
  • provision of documents: books or photocopies of articles by post or via a support person;
  • adaptation of document loan periods;
  • free registration for individuals outside the university and carers;
  • sending of digital documents;
  • study of specific needs.

03- Research assistance:

  • personalised tour of the library;
  • bibliographic information for reference searches;
  • presentation of electronic resources available remotely, and help with using them: databases, online periodicals, catalogues, etc.

To help you find your way around the library, black orientation signs on a yellow background have been installed.

The Orsay university library is accessible via a ramp at the main entrance. Disabled parking spaces are available close to the entrance.

The library has no public lift. Access to the upper and lower floors of the UL is via a service lift. People with reduced mobility are invited to go to the main reception desk on the ground floor (level 0) to access these areas.

Conduct your searches using Focus, then send the list of documents you wish to borrow by email to the following address: bib.univ@universite-paris-saclay.fr. Returns should be made to the same place.

The Kremlin-Bicêtre university library is accessible via the lifts in the Faculty of Medicine building. Opening the entrance to the UL requires assistance for people with reduced mobility. If you require assistance, please contact the library reception desk on 01 49 59 67 80.
